A marsh, an abundance of willows, a grove of trees, and a meadow compose the observation site. The water around the willows is partially frozen, but the brook through the marsh is running. The site is at 21750 Buffalo Valley Road, Moran, Wyoming. Plenty of grass, aspens, pine, spruce, and fir trees, sagebrush, willows, thistles, rose bushes, moss, Oregon Grape, and some small reddish sprouts (which might be Sticky Geranium) are the only visible flora. During the observation period, there were magpies, blackbirds, chickadees, and a nuthatch. Crows were attending to their survival needs for shelter by nest-building. There was a population of small birds that might be some type of junco, picking at the uncovered ground. A few spiders and shield bugs were around, along with one Monarch butterfly. Ducks, geese, and woodpeckers were audible by their respective honking, quacking, and hammering. The presence of moose and muledeer was given away by various tracks and scat piles. Overall there was high biodiversity, with indications of twenty-six seperate species in the area. The abiotic factors remained constant for the duration of the observation.
